Keyvan Mirzai is the founder of the Australian Han Mu Do Academy and the representative of Han Mu Do in Australia.
He did many kinds of sports and martial arts (e.g. soccer, gymnastics, wrestling, Karate, Kung fu, Kick boxing) but was not serious with them until he was about 13 years old.
He started with Kuk Sool Won (a Korean martial arts) and he did it for a few years. He was ready to do the Black Belt test but he didn't, because his instructors decided to give up Kuk Sool and start Hapkido. Keyvan started Hapkido (a Korean martial arts) because he was loyal to his instructors. He achieved his 3rd Degree Black Belt but he wasn't content. So Keyvan decided to go back to Kuk Sool Won and contacted Dr. Kimm who was a Kuk Sool Won master and found out that Dr. Kimm had founded his own style called Han Mu Do.
Han Mu Do is a collection of Dr. Kimm’s best techniques that he learnt from numerous martial arts from over forty years of his training. Many of Kuk Sool and Hapkido techniques are in Han Mu Do, which Keyvan found easy to learn. Keyvan has also achieved 5th degree Black Belt in Han Mu Do.
