Fitness Kickboxing

You may have seen the videos and promotional ads for fitness.  Perhaps you have bought a DVD copy for yourself.  There’s no doubting that practicing kickboxing is a powerful full body workout.

  

Kickboxing is a great way to learn martial arts while losing weight, toning, increasing flexibility and endurance.  However, a DVD will get repetitive.   Also, the instructor in the screen wouldn’t know if you’re doing the technique properly, badly, or sitting on the couch eating cake.

  

For these reasons, kickboxing is great when done in a group and with a good instructor.  A great class will put enough pressure on you to push yourself and helpfully correct you when you are not performing a move correctly. 

  

If you are alone practising with a video, it helps to keep a mirror nearby to check if you are performing the moves properly.  Remember- because no one can see you, it’s completely up to you to drive yourself to gain the most benefit from your exercise.
